I tried by hook or by crook to finish it either by the 30th day since I quit smoking, or by World No Tobacco Day (November 21) — and I made it, by the way, not in all time zones, but I made it hahaha.
In this project I rethought the traditional approach to motivational posters, focusing on irony and reverse motivation. At the center is an illustration of clean lungs and a displeased heart.
This metaphorical composition reflects two sides of the consequences of smoking at once: the colossal financial costs and the destruction of health. The lungs symbolize the purity and potential lost with every cigarette smoked, and the 'displeased' heart is the inner voice, tired of the strain and neglect of its condition.
Instead of pressuring the viewer directly, the poster provokes reflection, leaving room for personal realization. Irony becomes a tool that makes you think deeper than the standard images of 'scary consequences.'
